We can wonder, amidst the trials of life, if God has abandoned us. David expressed such doubt several times in the book of Psalm (Psalm 42:1-3; 63:1). But he learned in his life that the Lord was always with him (Psalm 139:7-12). This is a lesson that is taught repeatedly in the Scriptures (Genesis 28:15; Isaiah 43:2-3; Matthew 18:20; 28:20; Hebrews 13:5). And this is the very lesson that we want to learn today's study, using another Old Testament character—Joseph—as our example.
