Stephen in His last but very powerful sermon spoke to the heart of this wicked and adulterous generation in Acts 7:51. He said: “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.
It is great to deal with the generational curse of poverty, it is awesome to deal with the generational curse of divorce, marital problems, anger, pride etc but are you aware that there is a generational curse of resisting the Holy Spirit?
The men Stephen addressed in the above bible text were men who knew the Holy Spirit, resisted Him. It was a pattern they inherited from their fathers. Tell me what will become of a generation that resists the Holy Spirit? What will become of a generation that resists the Spirit of wisdom and understanding? How do we survive the times we are living in if we resist the Spirit of power and might? How do we triumph if the Spirit of the fear of the Lord is resisted?
