I believe that Mary was not the only virgin in Israel at the time Gabriel came with heavens plan for her life. There were other serious virgins, and amazing young ladies. But to be amazing is not just enough. There is a dimension of Favour that needs to be added to your purity that will single you out among your equals. Among the women in her generation, Mary was singled out. Why Mary? Why not others? Please go and ask Favour. Even when Gabriel finally came to deliver the news, the first thing he said after greeting him was “thou that art highly favoured”. The favour of God upon your life differentiates you from others and qualifies you to carry the divine purpose and plan of God for your generation.
