The visitation of the Angel of the Lord prepared Mary for the conception of the LORD Jesus Christ. Do not forget that she was a young preparing for her wedding. I believe everything needed for a great wedding was ready: probably her wedding gown and rings had been purchased, venue secured, friends and families had been invited etc . All those great plans became immaterial and inconsequential after her encounter with the Angel of the Lord.
Her whole wedding plan was at stake, people would misjudge her, the world would condemn her, she stood the risk of being stoned to death.Even Joseph did not know what to do with the situation so he planned to secretly discontinued the relationship. Wao! All these did not matter to the young Mary because she was prepared, adequately prepared by the Angel of the Lord sent to her from heaven. She prepared herself by consecration and purity-for she was a virgin and God also sent His angel to prepare her for the assignment.
Dearly beloved, one supernatural encounter will reposition you for Heaven's purpose. Nothing will be too great to sacrifice, nothing will be too much to give away. You cannot give away your uttermost for the Highest until there is a personal encounter with the Lord.
The burden of your assignment will become bearable if you patiently wait for the one supernatural encounter that will prepare you for the work ahead. Before Moses would take on the challenge to confront Pharaoh, he first had his encounter with the angel of the Lord.
Exodus3:1-3:1Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
Why not pray and ask the Lord to send His angels to prepare you for the work ahead. Your mind is the womb of your spirit . That is the instrument with which you conceive the things of God. Why not ask the Lord to send His angel to prepare you to conceive the plans, purposes and counsel of God for your life to your generation.
The mother of Samson was first prepared by the Angel before she conceived Samson.
Many have made a shipwreck of their lives because they were not adequately prepared by heaven before they stepped forward to carry out heavens assignment. They went out in their own terms and they suffered the consequences thereof.
This morning lets pray this in - Lord send your angel to prepare me to conceive and birth that which heaven has for me. Hallelujah.
