I had such a very overwhelming burden of the Lord to stand in the gap and pray against the spirit of death last week. I immediately responded to the instruction of the spirit to pray intensely as instructed by the Lord. As I continued to pray in the spirit early yesterday morning, the spirit of the Lord impressed Acts chapter 12 on my heart. I immediately reached out for my bible to read this familiar bible passage again. As I read, then it became very clear that the enemy had concluded plans to kill and destroy after Easter just as he planned to kill Peter after Easter.
Acts 12:4-5:And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
Believe me, Herod wold have killed Peter if he was left unchallenged. He killed James unchallenged. I believe the church did not pray. Probably they felt that was the will of God for James and his time had come. When Herod reached out for Peter then the church woke up to her responsibility to stop the gates of hell from prevailing. They prayed, they waited on God until a rescue mission was planned and implemented by an angel of the Lord. Peter was rescued, Herod was slapped to death and the Word of God grew and multiplied.
Dearly beloved, you can stand against the plans and scheming of the devil before and after easter. You can take a radical, prophetic stand and do not stand down in prayer until we claim our victory completely. Hallelujah!! So much to be done, the shadow of Peter must heal the sick, Dorcas must be raised back to life oh yes, death must be defeated. Stand with me, raise a standard, raise an altar of worship and praise and speak, speak victory, speak deliverance, speak life, speak the word of God.
The word of God must increase and multiply and the ministry of the gospel of the kingdom must be fulfilled. Continue to pray these words - Hallelujah.
