I sense the urgency in my Spirit to pause and pray-in the word we have received from the Lord. It is time to reclaim lost grounds.
Innocent people, innocently travelling to Tarshish lost all their goods because they carried along with them, a prophet (Jonah) who had absconded from his place of divine assignment. A man declared wanted by Heaven, a man who was been monitored, tracked and followed by a divinely assigned whale in the sea was sleeping in their boat and as a result all they carried with them was consumed.
A brother came to me in tears seeking for financial help many years ago. He so badly needed some financial support and having discussed with my wife, we decided to support him with something small. As I attempted to put the money in his hand, I heard a loud voice saying to me “If you give the money to him you would be a partaker of his troubles”. Oh my! I could not proceed any further. I told him what the Lord told me, and he indeed confessed to his sins, rebellion and disobedience against the will of God. I admonished him to go and first sort out his issues with the Lord and return to see what the Lord would say.
Friends, even some people we help by reason of our emotions could attract curses into our lives, finances, families, ministries etc if the Lord has not approved.
A senior pastor friend called me into his office some year ago and shared with me how he lost favour with God because of the help he offered to another pastor with whome h e formed a spiritual collaboration without asking the Lord. The work of ministry that had grown in his hands first stagnated and then almost broke into pieces if not for the mercy and divine intervention.
Friends who are you helping without the support of heaven? Who are you carrying along with you based on emotions and good works and not on the divine orders of heaven.
The joy this morning is that I perceived that there is a window of spiritual opportunity to reclaim lost grounds and investments even as we seek the Lord through prayers this morning.
