What would have happened if one of the foolish virgins described in Mathew 25 decided to depart from the company of the foolish virgins to join the company of the wise? Would she have missed the bridegroom?
The foolishness of being in the wrong company can be the greatest limitation to meeting our Lord. Which company are you? Who are your friends? Wise people in the company of fools will become foolish in the process of time. No wonder Proverbs 13:20 says: He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
The company you keep will determine to a large extent what will accompany you. There is hope for a fool who walks with the wise than the most intelligent and anointed fellow who walks in the company of the fools.
Whatever you do, ensure that Jesus is in your company.
