The Same anointing that came upon Saul and he prophesied in the company of the prophet was later used to indict, judge, and sentence him. The same anointing that came upon David and he brought down the giant was later used as evidence against him by the most High God.
The most dangerous influence of the anointing is that the manifestation of the anointing can make the anointed one despise the anointing giver. To misuse, abuse, and misappropriate the anointing of the Holy Spirit is to despise God. Saul despised the Lord and His kingdom was torn apart. David despised the Lord by misusing the anointing and sword and death were introduced into His family life.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit and power must be handled with uttermost care and absolute reverence that it deserves.
