1 Samuel 10:1-2: Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head, and kissed him and said: “Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over His inheritance? 2When you have departed from me today, you will find two men by Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to you, ‘The donkeys which you went to look for have been found.
The first impact of the anointing is that the anointing brings you to the place of recovery and divine restoration. But do note that that the news of the recovery and restoration of the donkeys was delivered to Saul at the tomb of Rachel. And then Saul was instructed to move unto the next place of divine provision where he would meet three men going up to God in Bethel. Friends, your restoration and recovery is the least thing the anointing can do but many have been trapped at the place of recovery and restoration. They have remained at the tomb of beautiful Rachel celebrating the news of their recovered donkeys, forgetting that there is more that the anointing can deliver into their hands.
Friends, this is a call to go beyond the tomb of Rachel, this is a charge to go beyond the celebration of the news of your recovery and restoration, after all, restoration is all about reclaiming what is original yours that was lost. So why spend the rest of your Christian life celebrating restoration and recovery at the tomb of Rachel when God is set to bring you to a dimension of divine provision. A place where you encounter men and women going up to God in Bethel with substance in their hands.
Dearly beloved, the anointing will guide you to the place of restoration and recovery and then propel you forward to the place of divine provision and supernatural supply.
Listen and be blessed.
