Despite the anointing of the Holy Spirit that David received from the Lord through Samuel the prophet, David still needed a man called Jonathan to help him preserve his life from the dangerous plots and Javelin of Saul so that he could live out his divine purpose for God.
1 Samuel 18:3: And Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. Regardless of the dimension of the anointing upon your life, there are certain people that have been divinely positioned to help you. You must not handle relationship with such people carelessly.
