Luke 24:49:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
So many promises have been left unclaimed because of our inability to tarry and wait until the promises become realities in our lives. Over 500 people received the instruction to go and wait in the city of Jerusalem until they are endued with power. Interestingly only 120 of them had the staying power to tarry in the upper room. Less than 24% of the people had the staying power to align with the instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ. The number of believers who can stay on a simple instruction of the spirit doing the same “boring” thing according to divine instruction for many years is on a rapid decline. But dearly beloved, the principles of the spirit are consistent in time. Converting divine promises to tangible physical results requires intense staying power. Understanding the mind of God concerning a matter requires staying power. Walking in certain dimensions of the supernatural requires staying power. If you desire the fiery dimensions of the Holy Spirit in every area of your life then you must understand the powerful yet undesired art of “tarrying”. My friend, tarry until you are endued. No shortcuts!
