A zealous young man who took a radical stand for holiness before God and his people obtained an everlasting covenant of priesthood and a covenant of peace with God.
Not even his father nor Moses obtained an everlasting covenant of priesthood. By reason of his passion and zeal for holiness, Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, obtained in a moment what the greatest prophets in the bible did not get in their many years of walking with God.
How did that happen? He had an intense passion and zeal for Holiness and he stood boldly for God when others could not.
Our zeal for personal and corporate holiness must transcend all zeal for holiness is the spiritual foundation on which a solid walk with God is built. Never ever forget that without holiness no man shall see the Lord.
