At the discovery of the one that the anointing oil was intended for, no one could sit until David was found. Not even Samuel the prophet could move any further. His horn was already full of the anointing oil intended for David and heaven was watching to ensure that the oil would not be released to the wrong fellow. So the anointing vessel of the servant of the Lord was temporarily out of service for everyone else in Israel until David was found. Unknown to David in the wilderness, there were people standing still in His father’s house who were not permitted to sit until he was found.
Psalms 89:20: I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
Friends, what would have happened if David had absconded from the place of his primary assignment? What would have happened if he had wandered away from the wilderness? Things would have continued to remain at a standstill until heaven says otherwise.
