Exodus 13:17-18:Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.
After 430 years in captivity, you would have expected God to lead the children of Israel through a short-cut to their promise land. Ofcourse, God could uproot the Philistines and provide a safe passage for the children of Israel if He wanted to do so. God, rather chose to lead His people through the wilderness. The wilderness is the place of process where God makes His men. That's where God moulds us and teach us to depend on Him. The wilderness is the place of formation and transformation.
The wilderness is the indication that you have been through process. Moses went through the wilderness, David had his share of the wilderness experience, Elijah did not miss the wilderness either. Oh, John the Baptist? He was the voice of one crying in the wilderness and our Lord Jesus Christ ? He was led by the Spirit into the Wilderness to be tempted of the Devil. You are not exempted from the Wilderness experience either.
God leads His people through the wilderness. The beautiful thing is that God is the one leading the way therefore you can be assured of rest, victory, provision and accomplishment. But as the Lord leads you through the wilderness, these are the 7 sins you must avoid.
These words have greatly encouraged my heart and blessed our congregation. I believe that thesame word will bless you greatly and mightily. Have a blessed day and it's so wonderful to be back again. God bless you abundantly.
With Love,
