Description

1 Samuel 16:1: And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Samuel the prophet was instructed to go to the house of Jesse for one of his sons had been found by God and separated to be anointed. But Jesse had 8 sons with excellent degrees and pedigrees. Eliab the first of them had all the qualities befitting of a king.  An excellent military background, impressive outlook,  and so forth, but did not qualify. The horn was filled, but the oil was reserved for one. Who is that one?  Many are called but few are chosen, who are the few? 500 were instructed to go wait in Jerusalem but only 120, were anointed with the Holy Ghost and with fire.  Is this anointing oil meant for you? Find out and personally seek the Lord in this regard. Have a blessed day.
