Today's crossword managed to COVERALLTHEBASES as far as baseball adages are concerned. RIGHTOFFTHEBAT, they had the aforementioned COVERALLTHEBASES; and the author also was ADROIT enough to work in OUTOFLEFTFIELD and WHOLENEWBALLGAME. A very SWEET puzzle indeed.
