Real peace comes from reconciliation with God. It's a treasure of infinite value. At Christmastime, we are reminded that God initiated reconciliation with man by entering our realm. He gives us a peace that is not like the kind of peace the world gives (which promises to come when all the circumstances line up for us). Real peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the presence of the living God within us. "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh, the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace." (Ephesians 2:14, NKJV)
