The Veldt is a science fiction thriller, adapted for radio, based on a short story by Ray Bradbury. The story originally appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, in 1950, under the title, 'The World the Children Made' and republished later in the 1951 anthology The Illustrated Man.
Bradbury foresaw the smart home, subscription-based streaming services, and virtual reality. He also predicted that parents would let their children watch whatever the heck they wanted. Sound familiar?
