062: Hello listeners and welcome back to the Podcast. In today’s episode, Kelli McIntosh shares about how she’s coped with being a special needs mom; through many years without an actual diagnosis.
Kelli is a mom of two, very close in age, children. She had normal fears of welcoming another baby so soon, but also those fears were compounded with her sons challenges. She shares that for 14(!) years they didn’t have a diagnosis for her son and she was hesitant to even get that final diagnosis. Kelli shares that it has been nice to have a name to search and groups to belong in.
Kelli places a huge importance on writing in her journey. She says she had begun writing journals before her children were even born and when she started a blog, it further helped her with her struggles a day special needs mom. Fast forward to today when she has a blog, YouTube channel and has made a coloring book for fellow special needs moms.
