On this Holy night, the night before he died - Jesus gave his disciples 3 final commandments - the most important lessons he needed them to remember and to carry on for him and to teach others, lessons for his disciples then and for us today
Love one another, as I have loved you.
As I have washed your feet, so you must wash others
Eat this bread, and drink this cup, Do this in memory of me.
This is why this night is called Maundy Thursday – for Maundy comes from the Latin word Mandatum, meaning commandment.
