The books of 1 & 2 Samuel paint a vivid picture of the main characters, particularly Saul, his son Jonathan and David. We therefore get to do a character study and, often, we see something of ourselves in the people that we’re reading about. Today we heard about the destructive influence of Saul’s jealousy.
