Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem by an excited crowd, full of praise and adoration, but when Jesus didn’t fulfil their agenda, that is to say, when he didn’t confront the Roman occupiers, the atmosphere turned sour. In today’s reading, we saw a sharp contrast between those who hated Jesus and those who treasured him.
