Jesus said, 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.' Christian or not, we all want peace in our lives. As Canadians, we pride ourselves on our efforts towards peace across the globe. However, making peace can often be both complex and costly. For followers of Jesus, the gospel must come first in the pursuit of peace because the gospel is what empowers us to be peacemakers who are blessed by God.
