This week on The Business Couch with Dr. Yishai, I had Jared Seide, founder and Executive Director of Center for Council, a nonprofit organization that trains groups and individuals to promote wellness and resiliency, foster compassion, and build community.
Our Insight Sunday conversation was so expansive and deep, that we had a three-part series so we could share the full depth and breadth of insight from Jared.
In part one, Episode 205, Jared shared his journey from being an awkward student to Hollywood movie producer to understanding and sharing the six elements of council which led to founding the Center for Council.
In part two, Episode 206, we talked about belonging, impostor syndrome, stress, fear, and the biology and psychology of emotions and their impact in the workplace. We also discussed how creating a space of curiosity, listening, and belonging allows people to flourish and become highly productive high-performers.
In part three, Episode 207, we wrapped up with our couch round, where Jared shared his thoughts on the role of psychology in struggling and success, whether habits or adaptability is more important, and more!
Today, I’m talking about pushing too hard. Because I have been talking with executives and entrepreneurs who so often struggle with it. Because I recently got knocked down and had to realize I need to slow down and give myself permission to slow down sometimes. Because I know I’m not the only one.
So you’ll hear me share personal stories, research, and some takeaways to give yourself a little more self-compassion without losing your drive or productivity.
