An ancient blessing used of people who chose a teacher to follow was, "May you be covered by the dust of your rabbi (teacher)." The meaning was, "may you so closely follow your teacher that you are metaphorically covered by the dust from his sandles." We will be using that concept to talk about who we are being influenced by in our lives. Are we more influenced by Jesus, or by so many other voices pulling at us?
