Description

In the parable of the plank and the speck, Jesus teaches us that we need to see clearly the planks in our own eyes. He reminds each of us to stop focusing on the specks in others’ eyes. To do this, we need to be willing to reflect on our own imperfections. We need to be willing to pay attention to our own areas of weaknesses. This requires humility. We need to be honest about them with others who are trustworthy. Then, we need to be willing to do the work and by His grace we can see change. When we have addressed our own weaknesses, we can then lovingly walk alongside others as they seek to remove their planks and specks.
