There were times in my life that I had to come within fists of my brother because he was sick and tired of me leaching from my mom, although I was a broke college student. Being broke after coming back from Australia (while searching for a job) and also being broke in Thailand (extremely dangerous, given the fact I had NO FAMILY) was enough.
