No Condemnation Now in Christ Jesus
Romans: 8:4-8

📜Romans 8:4–5 (KJV 1900):
4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 
 5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 

❎Christians are not under the Mosaic law since they are not under the Mosaic covenant. Christians under the new covenant, however, can still make use of the Mosaic law to provide them with wisdom for living lives that are pleasing to God.

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

❎Jeremiah 31:32–33 (KJV 1900): 

33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;

After those days, saith the Lord,

 I will put my law in their inward parts,

And write it in their hearts;

And will be their God,

And they shall be my people.

❎It is by the indwelling and direction of the Holy Spirit that the ordinance of the law comes to its fulfilment in the believer, and by the operations of grace there is no antinomy between the law as demanding and the Holy Spirit as energizing—“the law is Spiritual” (7:14).

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

As we turn over the control of our lives to the Holy Spirit, He empowers us to love God and to love our neighbor, and that, after all, is what the law requires.

No Condemnation Now in Christ Jesus

6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 

 7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 

 8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
