This podcast may be dated but the message is so current that I have included it anyway. Who was the American Yankee? What made a Yankee a Yankee? Why were we different? The elements of an American Yankee is almost a snapshot of America itself. Yes! we are exceptional people! We came to America to be free. We did not clamor for Government handouts or guarantees. All we wanted was an equal opportunity... Not equal outcomes. Dividing up the wealth would have been a shocking and abhorent idea. To give everyone free healthcare or anything else was simply not American.
