Sermon Notes:
Listen to the benefits of asking God for wisdom as you pray.
Wisdom is Greater than Gold:
King Solomon, who abounded with both wisdom and gold said "How much better to get wisdom than gold “To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver." Proverbs 16:16.
Wisdom is of benefit to others:
King Solomon said, “He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed-Proverbs 13:20. The people we associate with will have an effect on us. If we are teachable, being with the wise will increase our wisdom and help us to grow.
Wisdom provides the means necessary to make great leaders:
Solomon felt that wisdom was so important in being an effective ruler that it was what he asked for when God granted him all he wanted and then some. Leadership requires wisdom to properly handle the responsibility.
Wisdom empowers you with people skills:
Wisdom helps you to get along with people (Proverbs 11:12).
Wisdom helps pacify others’ anger (Proverbs 16:14).
Wisdom helps you to know when to stop speaking (Proverbs 29:11)
Wisdom helps us to persuade others to help us (Daniel 2: 14)
We are in the process of making enhancements to our online worship. In the meantime, while we make adjustments, the service that will be e-mailed out to the congregation will be without the GAP band music. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
