Think about this:
When we worry about bills, we are not believing the promise of Matthew 6:33:
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
When we seek revenge, we are not believing the promise of Romans -12:19:
“Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge, I will pay them back,” says the Lord.”
When we boast, we are not believing the truth of 1 Corinthians 4: 7:
For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?”
When we are afraid, we are not believing the promise of Isaiah 41: 10:
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
When we lust, we are not believing the warning of Mark 9: 47- 48:
“And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. It’s better to enter the Kingdom of God with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, ‘where the maggots never die and the fire never goes out.”

So faith comes from hearing that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
