The ministry of Jesus was counterintuitive – he had 30 some years to change the world and he chose only 3. He chose ordinary people from a few different walks of life instead of the best of the best. When given the opportunity – he preached hard truths that pushed people away instead of preaching, “peace, peace, when there was no peace.”
Through all of this we are left with a selflessness that actively pushes all of the responsibility then subsequent glory of a changed people into the hands of God. We’re talking about a concept today that if we get on straight is going to force our faith to stretched and our understanding of how little we can control to grow.
