The first promise in our series is found in Matthew 7:7-8 when Jesus says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
The truth is that baked into every prayer either explicitly and directly or in a roundabout way is you and I asking God for things that we REALLY REALLY need. Every single prayer that has ever been prayed has been asking God explicitly or in a roundabout way something that the pray-er desperately needs.
The big takeaway is to focus on closing the GAP between what we think we want, and what we actually do.
