At the end of this month – the goal is to be able to identify the selfishness in our hearts and subsequent actions and to grow in our hatred for where this sin shows up in our lives. If we are able to grow in our hatred of our selfishness we are going to become individuals who are less entitled, more engaged in evangelism, and more humble in one another discipling relationships. Once the focus is off of us we are going to be those pray more fervently, connect with God more thoughtfully, and operate with more clarity.
The problem with Envy is that there is so much time spent in rivalry and comparison with those around you, or standards that you consume that the focus divulges from personal growth to just beating someone else – and therein lies the instability of grasping for a moving target.
