Never accuse or confront anyone. First ask him, as supportively as possible, “Did you do it?” If he says yes, then ask him, “Why?” Give him the benefit of the doubt. If no doubt exists, respect at least his right to make his own mistakes. Thus, he will know you for a supportive friend. And isn’t that a consideration you yourself would like from everyone?
