In this episode, we go over the most famous of all the Greek myths. And probably the Greek myth with the most impact on future generations. This is the myth that triggered Heinrich Schliemann to go searching for the ancient site. It is even said that when Alexander the Great went on Campaign to conquer Persia, he brought with him a copy of the Iliad. It also shaped the personality of the Greek people as whole,m they forever sawe themselves as this +Wester vs East struggle, that continued from the Trojans to the Persians, the Scythians, the Arabs, and the Turks. This is the story of the Greatest War in all of |Greek History that definitely probably might have actually happened... sort of.

The History of Modern Greece covers the events of the Greek People from the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to the Greek War of Independence in 1821-1832, all the way through to the Greco-Turkish War from 1919 to 1922.
