In this message, we study Daniel chapter 1. Daniel is among the exiles of Judah into the land of Babylon. In captivity, he is faced with a tension, to honor his conviction to not defile himself, or to compromise and follow the rule of his new government. Many followers of Jesus can find themselves in similar situations. What do we do? We will discover that even when it feels like all is lost, God is still in control. Therefore, we can have courage to follow God, even if it means standing out.
