This week, Feroz Khan had the pleasure of chatting with Mykyta Romanishyn, a Mendix developer from Ukraine who is now living in the Netherlands. Mykyta’s story is fascinating: he spent 10 years as a professional football goalkeeper, but injuries and the pandemic forced him to rethink his path. That’s when he decided to dive into the world of IT, starting as a frontend web developer. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine meant he had to leave his home, which brought him to the Netherlands. Here, he discovered Mendix and was fortunate to start his journey in low-code development.
In this episode, they discuss:
👉🏽 Transitioning from Football to IT
👉🏽 Relocating to the Netherlands and job search challenges
👉🏽 Dealing with imposter syndrome
👉🏽 The importance of guidance and learning from others
👉🏽 Transferable skills and learning curve
👉🏽 Building a personal brand and networking
