"This morning we are going to get extremely 'heady' so put on your thinking caps and I promise this is worth it. What Paul declares in these verses is something that I think we can miss and that's this:
Knowing Matters
Knowing God matters
Paul can only say 'I am faithful' because God is faithful, if Paul knows, God is faithful.
We've all heard,
You can know a lot things about God but that doesn't mean you know God.
As much as that is true, the inverse is also true
You cannot know God if you don't know about God.
You do not need to go to seminary or get a doctorate but the reality is
You cannot know God rightly, if you do not know him accurately.
So knowing matters."
