This question has been asked, debated and expounded on for a very, very long time. It hinges on a verse in the Old Testament, Deuteronomy 24:1. Our two verses have a lot to say, and to dig into them we take a look at Matthew 19:1-9 to help unpack what Jesus is saying in both passages about divorce.
