Description

What has ghosts, horror movies, princess costumes, and way too much candy? You know it: Halloween. A commonly celebrated holiday in America, but is it one that Christians should engage in?

On today’s podcast, Pastor Derek and Pastor Jackie talk through the history of Halloween and how it came to be while also digging into how Christians should respond to the occult practices seen during this holiday. Christians fall all over the spectrum on this holiday, so we seek to bring clarity for whether or not we should participate in these festivities on today's show.

The 17:17 podcast is a ministry of Roseville Baptist Church (MN) that seeks to tackle cultural issues and societal questions from a biblical worldview so that listeners discover what the Bible has to say about the key issues they face on a daily basis. The 17:17 podcast seeks to teach the truth of God's Word in a way that is glorifying to God and easy to understand with the hope of furthering God's kingdom in Spirit and in Truth.
