In praying for people God will sometimes answer our prayers. Sometimes the answer is yes, and sometimes it is no. Sometimes the answer is not yet, but no matter what - God loves us. Ultimately, we will be completely whole in the new heaven and earth. In the meantime, God gave us the Holy Spirit as another helper in life along with the law. John 14:15-17 NKJV says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever – the Spirit of truth."
Kefa tells us in the Book of Acts that we are supposed to receive the Holy Spirit when we believe in the Messiah. Acts 2:38-39 NKJV says, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." The Holy Spirit is good and is for all those who will believe in the Messiah Yeshua even to those who are far away in time. That includes us. The Bible is not just a bunch of words on a page but is about the real and true powerful God who cares about His creation. Rabbi Shaul writes in 1Corinthians 4:20 NKJV, "For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power."
