Are you looking for truths to live by? God's commandments give us light, understanding on the best way to live life, and truths for life.
Psalms 43:3 NKJV says, Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me.
If only people realized that God wants what is best for them. This is a scripture I love to quote. It demonstrates the goodness and love that God has for mankind. Deuteronomy 5:29 NKJV says, "Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
God appeals to us to accept His goodness. Why accept what brings extra difficulties and problems in life? God's commandments provide us with live giving ways to live. God's ways are like a fountain, an endless supply of water. Why come up with your own ideals that can fail us in life, that hold no water.
Jeremiah 2:13 NKJV says, For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns – broken cisterns that can hold no water.
To walk in God's truths is to keep His good commandments.
Deuteronomy 5:33 NKJV says,
You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you.
Deuteronomy 8:6 NKJV says,
Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways.
Deuteronomy 11:22 NKJV says,
Carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do – to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways.
So, walk in God's truths. This is a psalm that encourages us to keep God's good commandments.
