The Torah repeats itself a lot. Repetition is often used for emphasis in the Bible. We should always want more of God and be willing listeners and doers. There is a difference between Greek education and Jewish studies. The Greeks learn to improve themselves, but the ancient believers in God learned so they could be dedicated to God. It is not a division of focus as some say; our focus should be on living right and following God, on being dedicated to God.
