Some of the Old Testament portion scriptures are pictures of spiritual things. The sacrifices of the Israelites were to be pure which is a picture for us to be pure. Yeshua the Messiah was pure. Mo-shay strikes the rock instead of speaking to it. He was not able to enter the promised land because of what he did. We should remember that God expects us to do exactly what He says. If we want truth, we need to be able to accept truth and do what the Bible says. People often produce their own ideas of life instead of the truths from the Bible. God wants what is best for us instead of the failure of mankind’s ways. He can reach us even in the darkness and deception of this world.
