We have seen a number of verses from the Old Testament portion quoted in the New Testament portion in our studies. This portion also has verses from the Old Testament portion of the Haftarah that are quoted in the New Testament portion. The New Testament believers reference for life is the Old Testament portion – that’s why they quoted the Old Testament portion. If they Old Testament portion was of no consequence, they would not have used it to substantiate what they believed.
