Many of us approach the end of this season feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and defeated from the endless tug of war on our attention the holidays seem to demand. We believe Christmas has something to say to our striving, something to offer our overwhelm and the invisible burdens we all carry during this time of year and every other day of the year too. The invitation of Christmas is to behold – this kind of focusing, this narrowing our attention, this drawing near to marvel at the miracle of God with us.
