Cliff is a scientist, surf ambassador, film maker and story teller. He recently moved back to his hometown of Hilo/Papaikou after spending the better part of a decade studying at UC San Diego achieving a PhD in Chemistry. We discuss his journey and how he was able to incorporate his love and passion for the ocean and surfing into his academic pursuits.
