Until now, our examples from God's Faith Hall of Fame (Hebrews 11) have focused on salvation (Abel), walking with God (Enoch), heeding a warning (Noah), having a baby (Abraham and Sarah), and making choices that honor God even if those choices involve suffering (Moses). These are all personal in nature.
But now, the writer of Hebrews transitions to spiritual conquest. Joshua was going to lead the sons of Israel into the promised land, but there were enemies that must be vanquished before victory could be attained.
