We tend to give ourselves more credit than we deserve when it comes to being open-minded. Why?

Because most of us aren’t as open-minded as we’d like to believe we are.

Yet, what does being ‘open-minded’ really mean?

The term is often used interchangeably with being tolerant of different viewpoints, opinions, and perspectives that don’t coincide with yours without showing prejudice or bias. However, it doesn’t mean that you have to empathize with every ideology, but you simply make an effort to understand the aspects that could have caused someone to reach this conclusion.
